Ok homies, I don’t know if you’ve been keeping up with the latest news on Jesus Christ or the news as a whole, but according to National Geographic┬áit would appear that scientists now think they’ve found Christ’s burial place.

So then are we to assume that Jesus Christ was a “real” person? As real as you and me?

Interesting thing is the Bible as a whole is a compilation of book, which use symbolism in an attempt to illustrate ideas that we humans may or may not be able to understand quite yet.

Much like our attempted definitions of God, it would probably be best to look at the larger picture here. Jesus Christ was not just a man, at least not a regular man, rather he was the son of God. At least that is what recorded history shows.

And here’s another question, are we not all creations of God? Theoretically, we’re are all sons (and daughters) of God right?

Was Jesus Christ a real person?

If in this day and age our brightest minds claim to have found Christ’s burial place, then are we to assume that Jesus was a real person?

If you ask me, I don’t think this is relevant to the “big picture”.

Considering the Bible is a compilation of symbolic writings, then it isn’t about whether Jesus Christ was a real person. It’s about the ideals and the teachings of Christ.

Technically you don’t even have to be a Christian to see the social value in what Jesus Christ taught. You know, all that stuff about ‘love thy neighbor as thy self’, lead a disciplined life, be courageous etc.

Is Christ’s tomb relevant to Jesus’ teachings?

I think there’s value to this whole thing considering the commercialization of Christmas. Maybe this new discovery will help us understand that Christmas is not about getting presents under an evergreen tree, but rather, it is a time to self reflect and aspire to become a better person.

As for those who have chosen to go an worship at Christ’s burial place, that’s all very nice and all, but I don’t think that’s the point here.

Jesus Christ is something or someone or an idea or an ideal that is to be with you anywhere at all times wherever you may be.
